After serving over a 20 year career in Law Enforcement, including schooling, training and applying what I learned in the field, reality hit me, that it's time to start a new chapter in my life.

I unfortunately injured my shoulder while on duty. Three surgeries and five months later, followed by countless hours of physical therapy, I was questioning my future and purpose in life. Until one day a good friend of mine asked me if I knew any place locally that sold "those wooden flags." I looked them up online and the fire to my passion was sparked once again. I thought to myself, I can do this. So, with my arm in a sling from the most recent surgery, I decided to give it a try and make him one. My first piece was a little rough around the edges but I have honed my craft tremendously from that first piece, judging from the feedback, and continue striving for improvement.

My newfound craft has not only given me purpose, but it is allowing me to pay homage to the many men and women who serve this great country, locally, statewide and across the nation.
